About the Author

Daniel Carrel D.O. resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife of 25 years, Bonny Carrel.  They have 7 children and 3 grandchildren.  Dr. Carrel has worked in the medical field for over 30 years.  After four years of undergraduate study at Calvin College and after working for four years at Blodgett Hospital as an orderly, an emergency room technician, and a technician in the endoscopy suite, he was accepted into and attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He did a one year internship at Lansing General Hospital and a three year internal medicine residency at Blodgett-St. Mary’s.  He practiced emergency medicine in Greenville, Michigan for 13 years and worked in an internal medicine office for one year.  He has spent time doing short-term missionary work in a hospital on the Amazon River in Brazil, and has worked five years at the Kent County jail.  He presently is employed by Visiting Physicians Association making house calls on homebound patients.  His other book is “In all His ways-Internship” which is a fiction novel about his internship year.
